December Randomness

Well in November we got an indoor dog his name was Carlos but we all didn't like that so we decided to change his name to Coco he is 2 years old house trained and a really good dog rarely barks. He loves to cuddle likes to wrestle with Hudson but the one thing is to be very careful to watch your food when he is around he has climbed onto our counter and eaten many things that we have left out and ate some of our food when we leave it to go get something else come back and our food is gone....he is FAST! but all in all we have loved having coco in our family.
 My pretty Remi
One of my friends set up a feed the homeless project a lot of the neighborhood joined in it was a lot of fun I defiantly plan to do it every year! we made over 500 sack lunches with sandwiches, fruit snacks, chips, and a drink.
I went with them and a few other people to deliver it personally to the homeless what a great experience it was. We stopped in Ogden and delivered lunches, hygiene kits, blankets, hats, gloves... then we headed down to SLC we went to the homeless shelter and there was a line all the way around the building i can't imagine waiting there in the freezing cold hoping that you would be able to get a room. We handed out everything we had we defiantly did not have enough. we ended up running to Walmart and picking up 40 more blankets, and 12 packages of socks. we got Walmart to give us a discount on all the blankets because it was going to a good cause. Took them back to the shelter and they were gone in about 5 min.
My heart breaking moment was when I found these 2 women they had 6 children together living in their car. The little girl (about 4 years old) opened up her sack lunch and with excitement says "MOM! THERE IS A SANDWICH IN HERE!" broke my heart that she would be so happy about a peanut butter and jelly sandwich something we all take for granted.
Another heart breaking moment was meeting a woman who was 9 months pregnant she said she was having her baby on Friday which was in 5 days. I can not imagine being on the streets being pregnant, but luckily we were able to help some of these people out.
After we had dinner at In&Out burger felt a little guilty being spoiled like that but still had a great feeling of being able to help. What a great experience I am looking forward to doing it again next year.
Yep we are a little weird!
We are still doing story time with our amazing Librarian Ms. Karen! Hudson is starting to understand story time and like it.

the kids got to go to our old ward which is Linsey and Grandpas ward for their ward party and I was a little jealous because they had a real live reindeer, Santa, fun games, great people, and good food.
We made our way to the Salt Lake City Lights in December it was freezing but we managed, it was beautiful as usual.
We went to the new mall City Creek it was such a fun place they had a creek all the way through it with live fish, trees, and plants in it. They also had a great Santa in a little light house with Mrs clause this is the kids waiting to see Santa.
